Marriage
“Marriage is a gift of God our creator. It is a symbol of God’s unending love for his people, and of the union between Christ and his Church. Christ loved his bride the Church, and gave himself for her.”
Marriages conducted in the churches of the parish are celebrated according to the rites and ceremonies of the Anglican Church of Australia.
The Marriage service is a Christian ceremony in which the couple, with their friends and family, ask for God’s blessing on their married life together.
Being married in our church will involve some marriage preparation, starting with a conversation with the parish priest.
There is no charge for a marriage service, although a donation is often made. If you wish to have a musician or flowers provided then a fee will apply.
Both parish churches are set in beautiful natural surrounds, here in the hills with the trees. They are places both sacred and attractive, perfect for the joyful occasion of a marriage.
There is no shortage of local venues for a wedding reception after the service, or you can apply to hire the hall at either church.
